This Is How I Feel is about rejection, heartbreak, fear, disappointment, and despair. And it is about positive attitude, compassion, hope, kindness, and forgiveness. It is about love. It is about celebrating love.

This book of poems is about the poet's perspective on
love,
compassion,
heartbreak
fear, and
hope.

The poems are about how he deals with
love at first sight,
crushes,
infatuations,
first love,
obsessions, and
the special girl in his dreams.

His journey from teenage to youth has been described through three stages/sections:
  - Watch love take wings.
  - Soar higher, farther beyond reach.
  - Then see it grounded.
